Projects Director - Data Centre Project - London, UK

We have an exciting opportunity to work with a company who specialise in commissioning, QA, and consulting services for mission-critical facilities. They have a prestigious portfolio of clients and a global presence of over 30 countries. They are currently seeking an Projects Director for their London based office.


Main Responsibilities
  • Reporting: Will report directly to the VP
  • Commissioning Management Leadership for Execution of Mission Critical Commissioning: Oversee and provide direction for the execution of commissioning projects, by supporting the commissioning management teams in processes and commissioning project management.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the commissioning management team, ensuring excellence in execution and delivery.
  • Leadership for Continuous Improvement: Drive the strategy for commissioning projects, including the adoption of new approaches.
  • Develop and Maintain Client Relationships: Focus on supporting clients in the management and communication processes of the commissioning phase. Serve as a trusted advisor by offering guidance and innovative solutions to meet clients' specific needs during this critical phase. Collaborate closely with clients to understand their commissioning requirements and objectives and proactively engage with them to provide ongoing support. Strive to foster strong and long-lasting relationships by assisting in the maintenance and development of client connections through effective management and communication approaches.
 

Qualifications
  • Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Relevant Technical Engineering Experience or related field
  • Relevant Experience in Data Centre Commissioning is Mandatory for this role
  • Project Management Related Qualifications - Desirable
  • Proven experience in managing a team, providing leadership and guidance to achieve project goals.
  • Extensive experience in the data centre and mission-critical industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of these environments.
  • Proficiency in industry standards and best practices related to commissioning in mission-critical facilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery, meeting deadlines, and achieving client satisfaction.
