Project Manager - Pharmaceuticals - Ohio

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all phases of the capital project, from pre-concept through execution and delivery, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
  • Oversee comprehensive project management, including budget planning, schedule development, and resource allocation for optimal project performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and industry standards specific to pharmaceutical parenteral and device manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, quality, and manufacturing) to meet project milestones and goals.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project operations.
  • Implement proactive risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate potential project risks and challenges.
  • Track project progress and performance, providing timely updates and detailed reports to senior management.
  • Maintain strict adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and other relevant quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project execution and enhance overall effectiveness.

Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience in managing large capital projects within the pharmaceutical industry, with an emphasis on projects over $500 million.
  • Strong familiarity with parenteral and device product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated success in leading complex projects from pre-concept through completion, maintaining timelines and budgets.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to guide and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
