Project Engineer - US, Texas - 12 Month Contract

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Texas, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the project from early design through construction, commissioning, and qualification (C&Q).
  • Act as the technical liaison between internal stakeholders and external design/construction partners.
  • Review and provide input on engineering drawings, process layouts, and technical documentation.
  • Participate in design reviews and ensure constructability, GMP compliance, and alignment with operational needs.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Support resolution of field design issues, RFIs, and changes during construction.
  • Coordinate equipment integration into facility design and construction schedules.
Skills and Experience:
  • Extensive experience supporting large-scale CAPEX projects in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or speciality chemical industry.
  • Proven ability to work across project phases, especially design coordination and field engineering during construction.
  • Familiarity with GMP facility design, clean utilities, and process equipment integration.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to interface with EPCM firms, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Experience in reviewing and commenting on P&IDs, layouts, design packages, and change documentation.
