Project Controls Professional - Illinois, United States - 12 Months Contract 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Controls Professional to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Illinois, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.

Responsibilities:
  • Establishing a One Team environment characterized by open, effective communication, collaboration, and respect for diverse experiences and ideas.
  • Leading a large and diverse program controls team effectively
  • Governance of project controls standards across the program and contractor communicates.
  • Specifications for schedule certainty, specifically with the contractors that will deliver the work.
  • Specifications for cost certainty, cost reduction, and cost controls
  • Change control during design development to maintain target cost.
  • Developing the budget estimate through to key design stages and decision points
  • Forecasting cash flow monthly to achieve 95% accuracy.
  • Change management for the life-cycle of the program
  • Risk management for the life-cycle of the program
  • Processes for monitoring progress and/or earned value.
  • Defining an effective program controls strategy and organization for the full project.
  • Standardizing data and reporting metrics using data visualization tools
  • Governance to ensure downstream project controls providers are delivering quality.
  • Monitoring and tracking project progress in terms of cost, schedule, and performance.
  • Preparing and maintaining project cost forecasts, including earned value management.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks and managing project change requests.
  • Collecting and analyzing data to support project decision-making.
  • Preparing status reports and ensuring that the project complies with project controls standards.
Skills and Experience:
  • Degree preferred (Engineering Degree as a Minimum)
