Procurement Manager - Pharmaceuticals - Ohio 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.


Responsibilities: 

  • Deliver capital projects in accordance with Global Facilities business processes
  • Assemble the procurement strategy for capital project which ensure delivery of business objectives
  • Drive coordination and communication of logistics and warehousing requirements for capital equipment with CM and A&E firm.
  • Serve as a liaison with equipment delivery expectations between A&E firm and CM.
  • Ensure all solutions meet technical requirements and commercial tenders12 months are in accordance with best ethical practices.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal and external parties during contract development and negotiation stages.
  • Prepare and negotiate agreements and contracts so that costs are minimised.
  • Ensure contractual notices and client entitlements are properly administered Re-measuring & valuing variations
  • Report status of current contracts processes to management
  • Sourcing for mega capital projects (>$500MM) at global manufacturing sites to acquire goods and services
  • Resolve any existing contract conflicts
  • Analyse potential risks that potential contract changes may pose to organization 
  • Ensure Procurement process is compliant at all times
  • Work with Engineering and Finance to close out projects in a timely manner

Requirements: 
  • Degree level of education in Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Business related field or Degree level education in any discipline with relevant experience
  • Excellent communication/facilitation and influencing skills.
  • Project Management skills
  • Understanding of logistics and warehousing
  • Analytical and organizational skills.
  • Project planning and implementation skills.
  • Overall manufacturing business knowledge.
  • Demonstrated commercial skills.
  • Experience delivering capital projects >$500M
