We are recruiting on behalf of a leading global pharmaceutical client based in the surroundings of Berlin. Due to a large capital investment and multiple projects on site, the client is looking for a Piping Supervisor to join their team.
Your role will be to be subject matter expert (SME) on Mechanical & Piping construction, installation, and commissioning on the client’s behalf on this new pharmaceutical manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordination with the wider multi-disciplinary team.
- Act as the Primary interface with Mechanical & Piping installation contractors during the construction phase of the project.
- Define client URS expectations to Mechanical & Piping installation contractors and ensure delivery in line with this expectation, including the application of standards and guidelines.
- Manage and coordinate interfaces between Mechanical & Piping installation contractors with other disciplines included electrical, instrumentation, BMS, utilities, HVAC, Process and
- CSA.
- Engage with Third Parties e.g. Contractors, Utility Providers, Insurers, Authorities, and other client groups to ensure compliance and contribute to a successful project delivery.
- Co-ordinate the engagement of internal and external Project team members during the Mechanical & Piping installation & construction phases
- Ensure overall quality of the Mechanical & Piping installation by performing regular reviews
- Ensure that EHS considerations are appropriately addressed throughout the construction phase of the project, including but not limited to regular site walks, constructability reviews
- and risk reviews.
Requirements
- Major CAPEX/ greenfield project experience throughout the entire project lifecycle
- Experience in local authority interface.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to solve complex problems and make decisions under pressure.
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Language: Proficiency in English. Germany and other languages will be beneficial
