Piping Engineering SME - US, North Carolina - 12 Month Contract 

Our client, a globally recognized pioneer in Biotechnology, are recruiting for the position of Piping Engineering SME. A leader in the industry, our client focuses on areas of high unmet medical need and leverages its expertise to stride for solutions. This is your chance to join them on their global mission to better the lives of those effected by disease and illness. The project at hand is for the construction of a new build biomanufacturing plant based located on the East Coast.

Essential duties and responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all questions related to piping systems.
  • Collaborate with the GC and other stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and provide expert advice on system designs.
  • Oversee the development of piping designs from the design phase through to mechanical completion.
  • Participate in the detailed design phase, with a focus on ensuring that systems are built according to specifications and industry standards.
  • Work with the team to ensure that the systems and designs are in alignment with standards and objectives for the drug substance manufacturing facility.
  • Ensure the commissioning and operational startup of the manufacturing lines are executed smoothly and in compliance with all regulations.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and field personnel.
Desirable Experience:
  • Extensive piping engineering experience, ideally on greenfield pharmaceutical/biotech projects.
  • Strong design-to-construction project background.
  • Deep understanding of GMP manufacturing and warehouse systems.
  • Hands-on field presence; effective communicator with GCs and project teams.
