This is a fantastic opportunity for a Owner’s Program Scheduler Manager to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Wisconsin, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.
Responsibilities:
- Establishing a One Team environment characterized by open, effective communication, collaboration, and respect for diverse experiences and ideas.
- Leading a large and diverse program scheduling team effectively
- Governance of project scheduling standards across the various program work streams.
- Evaluate the schedule for certainty, specifically that the contractors have the ability to deliver the project as they plan.
- Regularly evaluate the schedule for overall certainty, opportunities for schedule compression, and quality.
- Evaluate impact of changes during all phases of the project and provide advice on potential schedule recovery methods.
- Risk management for the life of the program
- Work with the project team to resource load the schedule at sufficient level of detail to support effective analysis of potential pinch points and manage progress evaluation for the life of the program.
- Validate progress for payment applications as required.
- Advise on contracting and commercial strategy for the entire program, from the viewpoint of mitigating risks
- Provide input in defining an effective program controls strategy and organization for the full project.
- Standardize data and reporting metrics using data visualization tools
- Provide governance to ensure downstream project controls providers are creating a schedule that meets or exceeds scheduling standards.
- Candidates should ideally have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, in an appropriate Engineering discipline
- Extensive relevant experience, in pharmaceutical sector preferred
- Excellent Primavera P6 skills
- Fully conversant with forms of contract, competent in financial and contractual matters
- Understand and be able to apply resourcing and cost to schedule activities
- Must be pro-active, adaptable, and able to motivate team members
- Must have excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must be a self-starter and possess leadership qualities
- Able to set priorities and meeting critical time deadlines
- Able to interface with both clients and other inter-office discipline at a senior level
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, construction sequencing and logistics
- Strong command of written and spoken English
