MEP ACC VDC Support Engineer - Columbus, Ohio - 24+ Months Contract 

Our client, a globally recognized pioneer in Biotechnology, are recruiting for the position of MEP ACC VDC Support Engineer. A leader in the industry, our client focuses on areas of high unmet medical need and leverages its expertise to stride for solutions. This is your chance to join them on their global mission to better the lives of those effected by disease and illness. The project at hand is for the construction of a new build biomanufacturing plant based located on the East Coast.

Essential duties and responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • ACC MEP Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Subject Matter Expert in Autodesk software and tools.
  • Support design & construction projects through the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), leveraging on standardization, innovative project management methods and technology for operations turnover.
  • Support and work with the design and construction team to manage and maintaining the Autodesk ACC Common Data Environment for the project facility the ACC Build workflows.
  • The project will leverage Revit, Plant3D, Inventor, Autodesk BIM CDE, AutoCAD, Navisworks manage and other 4D-5D software such as Synchro and Hexagon.
  • Managing and overseeing BIM with operations, engineering and construction processes and procedures.
  • Working in conjunction with capital projects execution and facility management teams for quality assurance/quality control that leverages the BIM technology for the facility and across the network to collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure reliable as-built centralize data management.
  • Validate ACC Build workflows, 3D models and data integration comply with company standards and requirements throughout the phases of the projects; ensure models and data structures are ready for transfer to operations.
Desirable Experience:
  • Virtual Design Construction, Mechanical-heavy MEP background
  • Trade oriented ideal (construction) in mechanical piping electrical
  • Design or engineering firm with design education
  • Proven technical experience with construction heavy in mechanical, electrical and piping (MEP) projects.
  • Proven experience working in a complex and regulated environment within in engineering and construction with BIM tools for modeling and applications in cost, scheduling, estimating, and coordination principles.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, P&ID, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
