Mechanical & Piping Turnover Engineer - Contract - Ireland

Do you want to work with an exciting company who are an established market leader within their niche field? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical & Piping (M&P) Turnover Engineer to work on an exciting capex project in Ireland on an initial 12-month contract.

Required experience/qualifications:
  • Support the Construction M&P lead to address the workload associated with oversight of the construction of all M&P aspects of the project i.e. Mechanical & Piping subcontractors’ deliverables, via CM Services provider
  • Represent the client during the Turnover (Walkdown, Punchlist & Handover) phase of the project, from Construction to CQV. This includes review of the physical installation as well as review and approval of the Trade Turn Over Packages (TTOPs) as presented by the CM Services
  • Provider and the M&P contractors at Construction Handover per system
  • Encourage and develop conduct with respect to safety, wherein demonstration is key
  • Initiate and maintain an open relationship with the CM team and the wider team to ensure successful project delivery
  • Ensure that field installation of M&P is undertaken in compliance with IFC design as issued, including 3D model, with minimum change required.
  • Attend & contribute to M&P reviews on-site
  • Maintain strong interface with Electrical & Instrumentation Turnover Engineer(s) to ensure smooth and co-operative co-ordination through Construction
  • Adjust day-to-day role requirements depending on the immediate demands and requirements set down by the project as a whole.
  • Escalate issues to the Construction M&P Lead, as required and necessary to avoid impacting upon project KPIs
  • Provide M&P support to the CQV phase of the project including management of the M&P CQV team effort (e.g. flushing, cleaning, balancing, trouble-shooting etc.), providing the necessary support to the system owners
  • Support the mechanical Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) system for the project
  • Establish and maintain M&P documentation handover format from CQV to operations
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant Mechanical & Piping experience in Construction activities within large scale capital projects.
  • Strong knowledge of small molecule API M&P installations
  • Experience with 3D design.
  • Ability to meet deadlines with good organisational and planning skills.
  • Proven success working well in a team environment with flexibility to react to changing project needs.
