Are you looking for an opportunity to work with a medical device organisation based in Norway? If yes, then this is the assignment for you!
Our client that specialises in producing and developing training products for the healthcare sector are currently seeking the expertise of a Materials Specialist.
Responsibilities:
- Select correct materials to parts and products by interpreting user needs, mechanical requirements, and regulatory requirements
- Practical material trials, prototyping, and testing
- Actively search for new materials for applications and keep up to date with current development in relevant technology areas
- Support global sourcing and local procurement in supplier evaluation and search for new suppliers
Requirements:
- Degree in material science, polymeric materials, or biomaterials, preferably at master’s level. Lower education with proper experience can be applicable as well.
- Experience with materials selection for industrial applications and materials in regulated environment.
- Wide knowledge of polymeric materials and good understanding of different manufacturing processes, such as injection and rotation molding, casting, 3D-printing
- Experience with recycled and bio-based materials.
