Maintenance Technician - 12-month contract - North Carolina - Life Sciences 

Our client, a global pharmaceutical manufacturing organization are looking for a talented Maintenance Technican to join their expanding team. With continued organizational growth and considerable investment across their portfolio and capital programs this is an extremely exciting opportunity to contribute towards their brand-new manufacturing facility on the East Coast of the United States.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on process equipment, such as bioreactors, centrifuges, ultrafiltration skids, parts washers, autoclaves, isolators, and fillers
  • Provides recommendations to develop preventative maintenance plans to minimize equipment downtime
  • Contributes to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development and revisions for process maintenance related activities
  • Diagnoses and troubleshoots equipment malfunctions
  • Assists in the installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Maintains accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Follows standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) quality standards
  • Adheres to all safety requirements and follows safe work practices
  • Notifies management or Environmental, Health & Safety when unsafe conditions or hazards are found
  • Attends all required safety and health training
  • Supports site operations and emergency work orders during off-hours, as needed
  • Performs spare parts assessments, as required
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems
  • Knowledge of GMP requirements
  • Effective communication, both written and oral
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills
  • Ability to train and mentor others
  • Detail-oriented
