Located on the picturesque west coast of Ireland, our Global pharmaceutical client is looking for a Maintenance Planner to join their state-of-the-art pharmaceutical facility. They have invested $55 billion in research to discover and develop new medicines in the pursuit of scientific breakthroughs and changing people’s lives. Responsibilities;
- Leadership and execution of the Maintenance Planning program of site equipment and utilities.
- Support the Plant support engineers with planning and preparing for the equipment maintenance to be performed by having the necessary tools, materials and EHS related permits needed.
- Implement programs and procedures required to ensure plant maintenance is performed in a compliant manner.
- Monitor the operation of plant equipment and systems.
- Maintain a maintenance management system for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment.
- Track, analyse and improve key Maintenance Excellence Program (MEP) key performance indicators (KPI’s) parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, site maintenance compliance, schedule etc.
- Monitor sufficient inventories of spare parts and maintenance supplies, and initiate reordering when necessary.
- Ensure adherence to company safety standards, policies and procedures.
- Proficient in the use of Computer Management Maintenance system (Maximo).
- Manage the purchasing for the department to reduce costs and add value.
- Manage the Engineering Change Control process to ensure there are no non-conformances relating to engineering change control.
- Build and maintain strong partnership with the EHS function to ensure both the safety of staff and contractors is seen as paramount on site.
- Participate constructively as a member of the dept, keeping everyone informed and proactively share knowledge and expertise within the team.
- Continuously review the maintenance schedules and liaise with the engineering team to update regularly.

- Strong communication skills both verbal and written are required for the execution of this role.
