Injection Moulding Engineer - Waterford, Ireland - Permanent Contract

The Quality Team is currently operating at full capacity, and the business lead requires an experienced Injection Moulding Engineer to support upcoming projects. Given the manager’s limited availability, there will be insufficient time to train or upskill new employees. Therefore, a temporary resource is needed to provide immediate support to the business, with the possibility of transitioning into a full-time employee (FTE) role

Responsibilities :
  • Lead the introduction of new tooling, including tool trials at toolmakers and in-house, set-up, qualification runs, and handover to production.
  • Assist in the design and debugging of new systems, tooling, and automation.
  • Complete validation reports (IQ, OQ, PQ) to ensure robust process and product quality.
  • Conduct designed experiments to optimise processes, improve yields, and reduce cycle times.
  • The candidate will serve as a front-line liaison with customers, suppliers, and toolmakers.
  • The candidate will troubleshoot process issues and provide technical support to Team Leaders.
Requirements:
  • Degree in relevant engineering discipline
  • Extensive experience in injection moulding
  • Cleanroom and medical moulding experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and process validation skills
  • Team player with excellent communication and organisational skills
  • 60k pa
