High Voltage Electrical Engineer - Germany, Frankfurt - 18 Month Contract 

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading global pharmaceutical client based in the surroundings of Frankfurt. Due to a large capital investment and multiple projects on site, the client is looking for a High Voltage Electrical Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities include:
  • Lead the design, specification, and implementation of high voltage (HV) electrical systems for a GMP-compliant manufacturing facility
  • Ensure compliance with German and international electrical safety standards and pharmaceutical industry regulations
  • Oversee installation, commissioning, and qualification (CQV) of HV systems, including substations, switchgear, and transformers
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of HV systems with facility infrastructure
  • Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and support troubleshooting during construction and start-up
  • Support energy efficiency, reliability, and redundancy planning for critical systems
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including design packages, test protocols, and handover reports
  • Provide technical input during FAT/SAT and support operational readiness
Requirements:
  • Requires extensive experience in HV electrical engineering, ideally in pharmaceutical or high-tech industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes (VDE), IEC standards, and GMP compliance
  • Experience with greenfield project delivery
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across engineering and construction teams
  • Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus
