Electrical Project Manager - Contract - Data Centres

Are you an Electrical Project Manager looking for your next contract role? We have a fantastic opportunity for our valued client for a long-term Data Centre contract based in Berkshire.

This is your chance to work with one of the UK’s leading independent building services companies and expert in M&E intallation contracts. They are specialists at delivering highly efficient projects for state-of-the-art Data Centres and Healthcare facilities across London and the UK.

Electrical Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Oversee site teams, site managers and subcontract managers for successful delivery and installation of generator systems, UPS systems, busbar systems, large cable packages, fire safety systems and lighting and power systems.
  • Act as a point of contact to Client and Subcontractors for technical site works or queries.
  • Coordinate all disciplines to have a smooth proceeding and efficient delivery.
  • Maintain progress reports and project delivery documentation.
  • Key component to Workplace Safety – To have an overview of HSE for all project staff and sub-contractors including risk management.
  • Assure that the scope is delivered in accordance with the project budget constraints and defined project schedule.
  • Maintain progress reports and project delivery documentation.
  • Initiate and chair progress meetings and activity reviews.
  • Work with the Operations Directors to build the team, utilising internal and external resources.
About you:
  • 3-5 + years’ Data Centre or Pharmaceutical industry management experience (essential)
  • Hold a project management qualification and electrical engineering degree.
  • Experience working for M&E contractors.
  • Basic understanding of Asta Powerproject / MS Project.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Large Power Infrastructure / Generators / UPS / Busbar Packages / Large Cable Install Packages / Fire Systems and Lighting and Power Systems is required.
