Electrical Commissioning Engineer - Ireland, Dublin - 4-6 Months Contract

We have an exciting opportunity to work with a company who specialise in commissioning, QA, and consulting services for mission-critical facilities. They have a prestigious portfolio of clients and a global presence of over 30 countries. They are currently seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer for their Dublin based office.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform test procedures
  • Work with basic test equipment such as power quality analysers and oscilloscopes
  • Interact with the contractor to interpret design and specifications
  • Write functional performance test scripting and integrated system test procedures
  • Conduct on-site observation surveys, create field reports on project status, and project completion regarding compliance with plans and specifications
  • Create a punch list report to determine corrective actions for field problems
  • Create a general condition survey report
  • Familiarise yourself with technical standards / standards, local project regulations, construction practices and the latest equipment functional concepts
  • Understand yourself and follow the safety requirements of all projects, including specific site regulations
  • Perform routine calculations
  • Participate in specialised engineering associations and academic societies
  • As a project coordinator with other field engineers, coordinate printing, presentation, and management procedures
  • Review project drawings and submissions
  • Develop a MEP test procedure
  • Develop the operating procedure of MEP
  • Respond to RFIs when requested by the PM team
  • Create minutes for meetings
  • Perform various management tasks
Requirements:
  • Advanced experience in live components, three- phase AC power systems (HV /MV / LV) and direct current (DC) power systems
  • Knowledge of engineering principles
  • Strong understanding of machinery, principles, and complete knowledge of major areas
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems from an operational perspective
