Our client, a global CDMO in pharmaceutical manufacturing, is recruiting for an Electrical and Instrumentation Work Package Owner to join them on their new expansion project. Based in a charming Nordic location, this contract is for a 12-month contract and will involve significantly growing the sites capacity for the manufacture of Biologics.
As the Instrumentation Work Package Owner, you will be responsible for expanding production lines for bulk drug substance with the addition of a further eight mammalian cell bioreactors.
Electrical and Instrumentation Work Package Owner Responsibilities:
- Review design with A&E, vendor selection, procurement and construction management across the facility – planning through to qualification phases.
- Support general contractors in development of the E&I design, comment/challenge and coordinate the review of electrical and instrumentation design documentation.
- Review P&IDs, instrument lists, datasheets, sequence of operations, installation details, layouts and all associated design documents on detail design phase.
- Join the contract management process, evaluating progress, changing orders, supplying chain challenges and commercial opportunities.
- Provide technical and constructability input to design reviews, schedule development and cost challenges.
- Work closely together with Automation, Process engineers and OEM Vendors to ensure deliverables are ready in time for the different milestones throughout the project.
- Participate in design reviews, monitoring technical and compliance and ensuring that all scope changes from original design are tracked and processed in the correct manner.
- Support FAT, SAT of control system and equipment.
- Capable of leading complex projects technically from initial design / development through to the validation of the facility in support of defined objectives.
- 7 + years’ experience in the Biotech environment delivering E&C design / commission / start-up.
- Process understanding of production processes used in upstream, downstream processes, CIP, environmental management and Utilities and have knowledge of automation system architectures.
- Ability to constructively challenge, defend and present technical aspects of system design.
- Experience working from design through to final hand over, engaging with Stakeholders/ User Groups/ Procurement/Suppliers.
- Experience of a similar project with a multi-million capital spend.
