EHS Specialist - Ireland, Cork - 12 Months Contract 

Would you like the opportunity to work alongside a global health care product manufacturer who are the leaders in the production of over-the-counter medicines? Our client, responsible for the development of a number of key and revolutionary products and with a thriving global presence is recruiting for an EHS Specialist to join their new project. 

Responsibilities include:
  • Participate in safety reviews of processes and systems and give advice on all EHS aspects for handover from construction stage of project through commissioning and qualification stages to handover to operations
  • Performing Risk Assessments
  • Issue work Permits
  • Reviewing applications
  • Assist in sustaining and continuously improving best in class environment, health and safety policies, strategies and management systems within the organisation.
Required skills:
  • Training and job experience which demonstrates a strong understanding of the following programs: Electrical Safety, Lockout Tagout, Machine Guarding, Confined Space, Working At Height, Hot Work, Mobile Equipment/Vehicles, Lifting Operations, High Risk Contractor & Construction Work, Chemical Management and Industrial Hygiene, Waste Management, Water Management and Emergency Response.
  • Background within a pharmaceutical or biologicals manufacturing environment
  • Ability to complete a project from beginning to end by leading a cross functional team.
  • Must be able to create presentations and conduct training without assistance.
  • Ability to communicate well to a wide variety of audiences.
