Our client was established over 100 years ago and are a leading manufacturer of diesel and natural gas engines to the Data Centre, Industrial and Maritime sector.
Specific to the Data Centre sector, our client provides modular and scalable solutions to support diverse market requirements. Their platforms are recognised for their reliability, providing uninterrupted power and business continuity through advanced redundancy configurations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and developing teams of technicians and engineers (both in-house and contracted), providing technical and leadership expertise to ensure the highest levels of performance
- Continuously improving all processes and procedures, as there is always room for improvement
- Collaborating with other teams to ensure seamless integration of data centre and critical operations with Baudouin's other business lines
- Assisting in the implementation of service methodologies, including incident management, problem management, change management, and capacity management
- Being fully involved in every critical application project, from RFQs to delivery
- Supporting the Sales Organisation with Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) calculations, corrective and preventive maintenance programs, and commissioning
- Designing, negotiating, and executing Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Assisting in and managing relationships with external vendors and contractors
- Liaising with internal teams and management groups
What they are looking for:
- Strong project management, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to plan, prioritise, delegate and evaluate tasks and resources
- Strong financial and business acumen, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and organisational levels
- Excellent leadership, teamwork and customer service skills
- Ability to effectively manage stress, conflict and change
- Engineering degree or equivalent
- Extensive engineering experience in large-scale service management
- Extensive experience in data centre operations
- Extensive experience building and managing strong, high-performing technical teams in a similar culture
- Experience in incident management
- Experience in supplier management
- Experience in process improvement
- High degree of organisation and attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Fluency in French and English is required
