Construction Space Planner - Life Sciences - Ohio - 22-months

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Construction Space Planner to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.

Responsibilities: 
  • Track current and future headcount across all functions to determine workspace needs.
  • Develop and maintain an occupancy plan for construction trailers, ensuring logical and efficient space assignments.
  • Identify and mitigate space constraints as project demands shift.
  • Liaise with construction management, operations, safety, procurement, and other key stakeholders to align trailer assignments with project schedules.
  • Communicate changes and updates to relevant teams to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Manage workspace logistics, including move scheduling and personnel assignments.
  • Ensure that assigned workspaces align with workflow efficiency, accessibility, and safety regulations.
  • Track and document workspace utilization trends to support long-term planning.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for trailer-related issues and reassignments.
  • Maintain accurate records of trailer occupancy and upcoming space availability.
  • Provide regular reports on headcount forecasts and workspace needs.
  • Support decision-making by analyzing workspace trends and potential bottlenecks.

Skills:
  • Experience in space planning, facilities coordination, or construction logistics on large-scale projects.
  • Strong background in headcount tracking and workspace allocation for dynamic, evolving teams.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a construction or industrial environment.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills to manage evolving site needs.
  • Strong ability to analyze and forecast workspace requirements based on project timelines.
  • Proficient in Excel, Smartsheet, or similar tracking tools for workspace management.
