Construction Project Lead - Pharmaceuticals - Ohio - 24 month contract

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Construction Project Lead to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the construction management company (Messer) to ensure adherence to project timelines, budget, and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement project monitoring tools and systems for effective communication and reporting.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including project teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure alignment and address any issues.
  • Apply pressure and influence the Construction Management process to ensure optimal performance.
  • Manage risk and resolve conflicts, ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the construction phase.
  • Oversee project closeout and handover, including commissioning, qualification, and validation processes.
 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Over 15 years of experience in construction management on large-scale capital projects (over $150m).
  • Extensive experience with internal fit-out and craft/trades.
  • Strong energy and willingness to apply pressure to the Construction Management process, with a proven ability to influence project outcomes.
  • Creative and innovative approach to problem-solving and project management.
  • Experience on both client and EPCM sides.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
