Construction Manager - Mantsala, Finland - 12 Months Contract

We are currently partnering with a leading global consulting and engineering company that are looking for experienced data centre professionals to join their team. Our client is working with many major developers in the data centre space and require a Construction Manager for their Mantsala location.
 
Our client offers strategic, tactical, and operational advice to a variety of entities, including colocation data centres, internet service providers, and telecom companies. Their team is composed of experts in diverse fields such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction, civil engineering, structure, building, architecture, fire safety, control engineering, and security technology.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a Data Centre construction project in a multi-stakeholder environment, supporting clients in making the right decisions
  • Lead the construction management team, coordinate various contractors and oversee project objectives related to safety, cost, schedule and quality
  • Ensure daily supervision of the construction schedule, monitor progress and take necessary actions in case of disruptions
  • Lead technical meetings, review change orders and negotiate technical and financial aspects on behalf of the client
  • Liaise with clients, authorities, contractors and consultants, provide technical advice and ensure compliance with safety procedures and permits
Requirements:
  • Experienced in construction management on behalf of a client / general contractor
  • Experienced in industrial projects
  • Experience in Data Centre projects is preferred
  • Experienced in projects with complex organisational structures, i.e. several contractors and equipment suppliers contracted by the client
  • Experienced in schedule management and monitoring (including short-term schedules on the basis of the project master schedule)
  • Experienced in coordinating several parties
  • Experienced in partial / final handover activities, including snagging and de-snagging
  • Education: Technical (eg engineering, construction etc)
  • Fluent in English. Finnish speaking is not required for this project
  • Extensive work experience in Europe
  • Software: MS Project/Primavera, Office, document management platforms like ACC/Asite/Share point
