Our global Pharma engineering client, based in Denmark, are looking for a Construction Manager to join their team. They are world leaders in delivering quality pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, currently supporting several construction and expansion projects. These developments will increase the capacity for a plethora of products, and include automated state-of-the-art production technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for executing small and mid sized project and/or single and cross-disciplinary project work packages in projects
- Defines the operational framework in cooperation with nearest PM or PPM.
- Responsible for planning/execution and for coordinating/delegating tasks
- Expected to monitor project performance and identify and address project risks and issues proactively and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Construction: Coordinate authority handling, contractors on site and construction site arrangements.
- Manage construction of temporary site office, responsible for site security and site safety
- Work out detailed construction time schedules in compliance with project schedule based on input from contractors
- Coordinate review and approval of quotations from contractors, review and approve payment requests from contractors, keep track of payment requests and change orders from contractors,
- Lead weekly construction meetings, as part of project management participate in relevant meetings with customer
- Ensure temporary installations and buildings are demolished and removed from site
- Coordinate commissioning work
- Extensive experience in Construction, ideally in Pharma/Bio or related industry
- Mechanical background within piping and process equipment
- M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering or similar
- Skill set in stakeholder management towards senior management level.
- Proven communication & leadership skills
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Up to date on project management tools and working methods
- Ability to manage site logistics, temporary facilities, and site safety/security.
- Experience coordinating contractors, authorities, and site inspections.
- Experience in handover processes, including defect management and final inspections.
