To support the client’s management, we are looking for a Commissioning Lead to manage all aspects of on-site generation and power provision activities.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all Group Commissioning policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to at the site level
- Conduct monthly Commissioning KPI Audits, score them, and present findings in month-end reports. Address non-compliance issues based on severity
- Ensure all projects comply with group safety policies and procedures related to the Control of Hazardous Energies
- Assist in the estimation process at the business level, including Cx programme, resource strategy, and pricing at the tender stage. Deliver standard presentations on Commissioning strategy
- Report on Cx Performance at month-end meetings
- Support the talent acquisition process, develop roles and responsibilities for new positions, interview candidates, and make final hiring decisions. Act as the Line Manager for Cx PMs within each business unit
- Collaborate with Development Delivery Directors/CMs/PMs to resource projects effectively and cost-efficiently, aligning with the company Commissioning Strategy
- Develop and establish an on-boarding pack for new Cx personnel, ensuring standardisation and support. Ensure all functions understand Commissioning objectives and their roles
- Oversee the on-boarding of all projects within the Business Commissioning Digital Environment (Cx Alloy). Ensure comprehensive completion of project load templates and coordinate with relevant teams
- Monitor and ensure daily updates on Cx Alloy regarding checklist progress, IRL management, asset tag status, forecast dates, and constraints
- Actively support project Commissioning Leads/Engineers/Package Managers to ensure timely and comprehensive on-boarding
- Ensure clear roles and responsibilities for all CxPMs on projects, including deliverables
- Ensure all Commissioning personnel have appropriate access to Cx Alloy and other relevant client platforms
- Participate in design, constructability, and commissionability reviews to ensure technical aspects are covered in the Cx Plan and schedule
- Attend projects as required, with a standard attendance agreed with the Line Manager. Weekly travel to mainland Europe may be required
- Set annual goals and deliverables for the Cx team, measuring individual project Cx Managers against group Commissioning Guidelines
- Manage vendor relationships and escalation points from a Commissioning perspective
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Extensive experience in commissioning management within critical environments, preferably data centres
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as LEED, PMP, or CxA are highly desirable
