CAPEX Project Manager - Pharmaceuticals - 12-Month Contract 

Our client, a global biotechnology organisation, is recruiting for a Project Manager to join their capital project in Toulouse. This new build facility will house a therapeutic protein production plant, and we are looking for a Project Manager to help expand our client's biotech operations throughout Europe. As the Project Manager you will be responsible for implementing all safety requirements for a new build facility, estimated at approximately 14,900m2.


Responsibilities and Requirements: 
  • Demonstrated experience as package owner in capital projects within the biopharmaceutical sector.
  • Experienced in leading contractor teams, and supervising construction activities
  • Experience developing and implementing processes in a construction field; including scoping, budgeting, execution supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide structure and leadership and adhere to timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experienced on Safety practices in a construction site.  Job Safety Analysis or Method Statements
  • Proven leadership and construction project management skills and ability to negotiate issues with both tact and practicality
  • Experience in cGMP biopharmaceutical regulated environment including technical understanding of GMP dedicated utilities systems
  • Experienced in the construction of biologic’s manufacturing facilities, including utility systems, such as HVAC, WFI, pure steam, clean compressed air, process gases, chilled water, boilers, and wastewater treatment and classified clean rooms. Offices and Laboratories exposure also desirable.
  • Knowledge of risk assessments and mitigation strategies
