CAPEX Project Manager - US, Texas - 12 months Contract

This is a fantastic opportunity for a CAPEX Project Manager to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Texas, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and completion of the capital project, focusing on the development of a state-of-the-art oligo / peptide clinical trial manufacturing facility.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Manage all aspects of project delivery, including scope, cost, schedule, quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, procurement, and quality assurance to drive project success.
  • Oversee the selection, negotiation, and management of contractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to project requirements and safety standards.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to achieve project milestones and objectives.
Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline (equivalent experience considered).
  • Extensive project management experience delivering large-scale CAPEX projects ($300M+) in GMP manufacturing, API production, or specialty chemical environments.
  • Proven ability to lead full project lifecycle from concept to CQV.
  • Strong understanding of GMP compliance, regulatory standards, and validation practices.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.).
  • PMP certification strongly preferred.
