CAPEX Project Manager

CAPEX Project Manager - Life Sciences - South Carolina - 12-months

As an essential partner to the biopharmaceutical industry, our client serves a critical function in the drug development process, collaborating with clients from the earliest stages of target identification, through the drug safety testing process and all the way through market approval.

Our client delivers comprehensive, outsourced drug discovery and safety assessment services, as well as manufacturing solutions from biologics production to microbial testing and working with clients to identify, understand, and distinguish viable molecules from those that are not - acting as the bridge between biopharmaceutical companies and the patients who need critical therapies.

And they are looking for a CAPEX Project Manager to join their team based in South Carolina.


Roles and Responsibilities:

• Establish project management processes, methods, techniques, and tools to build the project management organization.
• Leverage’s technology to drive a data-driven and risk-based approach to socializing progress, risks, and achievements within the program
• Establish risk-adjusted, cross-functional project plan and budget through the development project.
• Implements stage gate phases, timelines, and milestones for the project
• Provide timeline and budget visibility across for the project and communicate with a variety of stakeholders at all levels effectively, including executives with differing priorities.
• Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary environment such as R&D, Operations, Quality, and Regulatory
• Drives for accountability within self and others.
• Experience with CAPEX projects.

Education and Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a relevant field; experience in lieu of formal education may be considered
• Minimum 10 years of experience Project Management or relevant field
• Project Management experience for large scale CAPEX projects
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
• Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to develop positive relationships at all levels of the organization
• Excellent presentation, expectation management and training skills; consistently meets specific needs of various client groups, project teams, and target audiences
• People management, leadership, negotiation, presentation, and facilitation skills
• Ability to guide, mentor and build a pipeline of project managers in the organization
• Proven communication skills – both written and verbal, proficiency with MS Office Programs, including MS Project
