CAPEX Project Manager – 12 month Contract – Ohio

This is a fantastic opportunity for a CAPEX Project Manager to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.


Role responsibilities:
  • Assist the Global PM in the management of large capital projects to safely achieve project objectives focused on design and construction through operational qualification.  Project objectives are defined as: asset capability or capacity, cost, schedule and compliance. 
  • Assist with a disciplined, structured approach to project controls based on compliance with global engineering and Company Policies and Procedures. 
  • Assist in Maintaining safety and environmental execution plans for projects.  Ensure compliance to safety and environmental policies, procedures, and work rules for project personnel, contractors, and subcontractors from conceptual design through operational qualification.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with project team, business partners and other stakeholders as the size of the project may dictate.

Required skills and experience:
  • 10+ Years previous experience in design and construction. 
  • Project Size:  Previous experience on projects >$100M+
  • Experience in many of the following areas:  Automation, construction, construction quality, project controls, the engineering disciplines, safety, scheduling.
  • Facilitate issue resolution, anticipate scope changes, and implement safely with quality, speed and value.
  • Must exhibit a good sense of judgement in decision making, without the need for management approval while at the same time keeping management informed and engaged on critical issues.
  • Demonstrated value for a disciplined, structured approach to project controls that is based on compliance with Policies and Procedures rather than personal style.
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
