C&Q Utilities Lead – Life Sciences – 12 month contract – Ireland

With worldwide demand for their life-changing oncology treatment increasing; one of our global pharmaceutical clients is looking for a C&Q Utilities Lead to join their team to support multiple capital projects taking place onsite.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a state-of-the art fill-finish facility and the company’s first stand-alone vaccine and biologics plant outside the US. 


Job Title Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordination of combined C&Q Team 
  • Review and approve C&Q test documentation for black & clean utility systems.
  • Management of Weekly Activity Planning
  • Mitigation of open issues 
  • Assess and problem solve any deviations/ events effectively.
  • To commission Utility systems with DeltaV & OEM automation
  • To have a detailed technical knowledge of Clean and Black Utility unit operations
  • Accountable for scheduling, tracking, reporting, and achieving project deadlines.
  • Provide technical and compliance review of testing protocols and reports.
  • Co-ordinate with technical package owners for the Utilities packages and facilitate Cross functional interactions to ensure project and site stakeholder inputs are reflected in vendor commissioning & qualification deliverables.
About you:
  • Minimum qualification B.Sc. or M.Sc./ M. Eng Degree in Chemical or Biochemical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
  • Minimum of 6 years demonstrated commissioning, qualification experience in a Biologic Manufacturing Facility
  • Knowledge and experience with a plant start-up
  • Familiarity with operating in a fully automated (Delta V) plant
  • Knowledge of WFI and CS equipment and system design
  • Knowledge of hygienic system design
  • Awareness of sterile drug product unit operation and sterile support/formulation systems is preferred.
