Our client, a globally recognized pioneer in Biotechnology, are recruiting for the position of Automation Lead. A leader in the industry, our client focuses on areas of high unmet medical need and leverages its expertise to stride for solutions. This is your chance to join them on their global mission to better the lives of those effected by disease and illness. The project at hand is for the construction of a new build biomanufacturing plant based located on the East Coast.
Essential duties and responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Lead and manage the overall automation programs in the greenfield construction of the drug substance manufacturing facility.
- Oversee the automation integration partner to ensure timely and effective delivery of automation solutions.
- Define the automation strategy for a $1 billion investment, ensuring alignment with client's standards.
- Develop and write the automation strategy, building the framework from scratch based on project needs.
- Manage the automation program from design phase through to operational start up and handover.
- Ensure the integration of automation systems with the facility’s manufacturing lines, ensuring full compliance with client's standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience in leading and managing automation programs for greenfield drug substance biologics projects with budgets between $300M - $500M.
- Strong background in automation strategy development, including writing and implementing automation strategies.
- Extensive experience in biologics or pharmaceutical manufacturing, specifically in automation.
- Expertise in Delta V automation systems and QBMS (Quality Batch Management Systems).
- Demonstrated experience managing the integration of third-party automation partners.
- Strong understanding of design-to-handover processes in large-scale capital projects.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
