Application Developer – IT – 6 Month Contract – Swindon/ London

We have an exciting Application Developer position available with our client, a leading international organisation. The location for this Application Developer will be at either of our client’s Swindon or London sites. This is a contractual opportunity starting asap; there will be 2-3 interviews and the hiring team are ready to go!

Your focus will be to develop and support IT solutions, as well as develop new Market Data to enable business growth and trading opportunities within the Market Data IT solutions team.

Application Developer Responsibilities:
  • Analyse new business requirements.
  • Evaluate IT options.
  • Implement specialised software solution.
  • Maintain a focus on implementing new data feeds and/or fixing current feeds.
For this Application Developer role, it is essential that you have: 
  • Profound knowledge in C# .net Core, experience in a version of Angular.
  • Understands database structures and knowledge of database languages (e.g. MS SQL).
  • Understands data modelling, data warehousing and/or testing methods and applies them independently.
  • Passionate about writing clean, understandable, and modular code.
  • Being able to speak English Fluently.
It would be beneficial for you to have: 
  • Knowledge of market data, the end-to-end trading-lifecycle, and physical / financial products.
  • Knowledge in Agile software development.
  • have knowledge on cloud related architectures, services, and languages.
  • Previous experience working in VB6.
  • German language skills.
