What my day looks like as a Business Winner at QCS Staffing

What does a typical day look like for you?

I often start my day off by checking in with the managers that I have live roles with and making sure that everything is ready to start off for the day. My direction is often diverted to focusing more so on answering any urgent queries from our consultant base.

Queries vary; they often range between contract issues, new positions or any issues onsite. It’s important to answer these questions as quickly as possible, to ensure that both our projects and delivery function can continue to carry on running as they should.

A lot of my focus is directed towards relocating people for work purposes. This involves sorting out accommodation and helping them settle in a new country. I enjoy liaising with the different teams that we have here at QCS - teams such as compliance are a massive help to me and get the job done quickly!

What part of your day do you look forward to most?

Things in my world vary depending on the day, but it’s always a nice surprise to hear good feedback from our clients. Hearing about the progression of a project and how candidates that we have sourced have helped and have made an impact is always rewarding and reassuring that we are doing a great job.

I also enjoy flying out to Denmark to meet managers and current contractors. This is something that I try and do every six weeks and is a nice opportunity to catch up face to face and get a real feel for the job. There are other perks that follow this, such as going out for nice meals and seeing more of the city – this is definitely a big perk for me!

What does the perfect day look like?

A perfect day for me would be a day filled with finding the right type of profiles for urgent roles and making sure that we have the best possible candidates for our clients. As I mentioned before, getting good feedback – even if it doesn’t lead to a placement, shows we know our roles and the industry really well.

It’s very important to me that as a company, QCS is recognized for being SME’s within the life sciences industry, so really anything that contributes towards that, would make my day perfect!

Do you have any advice for someone stepping into a Business Winner role at QCS Staffing?

My key advice would be to always have a clear goal in mind. This then helps you decide and work with your team to find clear strategies to achieve this and see your goals become a realty faster. Once you have this, it’ll help drive your determination to reach this goal and positively impact your work.

Another massive help is to learn your industry inside out and really enjoy what you do. A solid understanding of life sciences and the projects that follow will give you a clearer understanding of what candidates are needed and will be most suited to this type of work.
