Dog mad Josi (proud owner of Nigel the French Bulldog) joined QCS Staffing back in 2015 as a Delivery Executive. She started with zero recruitment experience but a background in Customer Service and Account management, and she soon showed serious recruitment potential.

After 2.5 years working hard as a Delivery Executive, recruiting for the renewable energy industry, Josi was successful in her application for Delivery Team Leader and also went on to complete our Fast Track to Future Leadership course.

Fast forward to August 2021 and Josi has made the move to Internal recruitment as QCS Staffing’s Talent Delivery Partner. We asked her a few questions about herself, her career move, the future of QCS Staffing and what she looks for in potential candidates:

Tell us about yourself!

I love my French Bulldog, Nigel, and dressing him up – he has his own brussels sprout costume for Christmas, because as well as being dog mad I also LOVE Christmas. I am originally from Germany, so I like to get over there to visit my parents when I can (even though I would like them to move to a warmer climate!). I also love to socialise and exercise to stay active.

What do you love about recruitment?

The variety, there’s never a boring day. In fact, a lot can change in the course of a day. Recruitment is a very rewarding job if you work hard, the more you put in the more you get out. And if you’re motivated by money, you can earn a lot too.

It’s a very social industry which is great because I am a sociable person and I love a trip to the pub!

Why did you want to make the move from Delivery Team Leader to Talent Delivery Partner?

I really enjoyed leading and supporting my team, but I was keen to get more involved with the candidate side of the business again. I wanted to actively contribute to selling QCS Staffing, work on the full recruitment lifecycle and get back to speaking with candidates, which you don’t get as much time to do as a Team Leader.

What do you look for in potential candidates?

For all roles across the business, I look for someone that has a One Team attitude, this is one of Quanta’s values and it means a lot to us. I also look for a candidate that shows commitment.

When recruiting for sales roles – Delivery Executives and Recruitment Consultants - I look for motivated, driven people who love working as a team. They must want to succeed in their recruitment career.

What do you love about QCS Staffing?

I love that QCS Staffing invests so much in you and if you show your commitment, I honestly think the sky’s the limit! QCS Staffing are there to support you, big you up and help you out.

And this is reflected in the open-door policy, Directors; Spencer and Dave sit on the Sales and Operations floors, and you never feel like you can’t approach them. This means the office is a great team environment, the people are great, I can’t wait to get back to the office and have a laugh.

How would you say the future looks for QCS Staffing?

Very exciting! In 2022 we are looking to open our USA office, we have our Hybrid work plan coming into play in September and the unveiling of our 3-year roadmap.

There’s just so much growth and potential ahead for the company and individuals. It’s a great time to work at QCS Staffing.
