Project Manager - East London - Energy from Waste 

Our client, a leader in the UK Energy from Waste industry is currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join their team in East London. With a long history in the Renewable Energies market our client is looking to take the lead in the market by stepping up their global footprint. Responsibilities and Requirements:
  • Site based role coordinating the day to day management of construction and contractual matters on the Thameside ERF project.
  • Ensure the Project Director is fully appraised of progress against time and budget. Immediately notify Project Director and Capital Projects’ Health & Safety Manager of any health and safety near misses and accidents.
  • To positively embed a positive health and safety culture at all level across the project. To proactively enforce health and safety control measures on site including reinforcement of “HomeSafe” behavioural health and safety programme through regular auditing, promotion of positive behaviours and identification of areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that the EPC Contractor and its subcontractors maintain and enforce robust health and safety monitoring control measures and ensure that all incidents are fully investigated in a timely manner with rectification measures clearly identified and cascaded throughout the workforce.
  • Ensure that the EPC Contractor and its subcontractors comply with statutory legislative health and safety obligations including but not limited to HASAW, CDM 2015, RIDDOR, RRFSO, PUWER, PSSR, LOLER, COSHH etc
  • To ensure that the project is delivered in accordance with the agreed contractual specification, technical and commercial schedules and the terms of the EPC Contract.
  • To ensure that the project is delivered in accordance with all technical, health, safety, environmental, quality, security, legislative, statutory, financial and organisational requirements.
