Construction Safety Lead - Pharmaceuticals - Ohio - 12-Month Contract 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Construction Safety Lead to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage construction safety protocols on-site.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA 30 standards and other relevant safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement safety plans and procedures.
  • Monitor and document all safety incidents and near misses.
  • Prepare detailed reports for management to analyze and compare safety data.
  • Collaborate with the Construction Management (CM) firm to ensure accurate and timely incident reporting.
  • Actively engage in on-site safety supervision.
  • Inspect work areas, equipment, and working conditions to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Address and rectify any safety concerns or violations promptly.
  • Provide hands-on support and guidance to construction teams.
  • Conduct safety training sessions for construction workers.
  • Promote a culture of safety through continuous education and awareness programs.
  • Keep up to date with the latest safety regulations and best practices.

Qualifications:
  • OSHA 30 certification, current within the last 5 years.
  • Relevant degree or certification in safety management, construction management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction safety.
  • Extensive experience in interior construction, specifically with piping, HVAC, and electrical work.
  • Proven track record in managing safety in large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work hands-on in the field and engage with construction teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
