Calibration Technician

Calibration Technician - Pharmaceuticals - 12-Month Contract - Limerick 

Ireland is a hive of activity for the Life Sciences Sector at present with global players setting up new and expanding existing manufacturing facilities all over the Country. An exciting opportunity has arisen to work via Quanta on the client’s side for a global Pharmaceutical organisation on a major expansion project based in the picturesque Munster region of Ireland. 

Located just 20 minutes from the nearest international airport, the manufacturing site is workable for those wishing to commute to/from Ireland for a contract position. You will be required on site for 5 days per week Monday – Friday working 45 hours.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Comply with site safety policies and strive to maintain an accident free environment.
• Ensure documentation of maintenance activities to GxP standards both in paper based records and the BMRAM system.
• Maintaining the physical condition and environment of all areas.
• Provide Instrumentation/Calibration support to Facilities, Quality Assurance Team, Engineering and Operations.
• Support continuous improvement, 5S and Lean initiatives.
• Promotes quality and customer service.
• Follows current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs).
• Have the ability to work with automated control systems
• Have the ability to loop check, tune, troubleshoot, and startup of instrumentation.
• Have the ability to calibrate various types of instrumentation including temperature, pressure, level, flow and analytical instruments.
• Have the ability to communicate with mid and senior management within the facilities department.
• Occasionally work on other Process/Utility/Facility related work tasks/issues that are outside the calibration department’s normal work duties.

Education and Experience:

A bachelor degree in science or engineering, preferred; or  along with 2+ years of experience in a similar position or Qualified to National Craft Standard, 5+ years of field experience in the desired functional area.  Will substitute relevant experience in lieu of degree.
